The sound system for the LG Arts Center consists of the public address (PA) system, a Dolby Digital Surround EX system, and other equipment necessary for recording and sound mixing. The core of the system design lies in the construction of an optimum system, which secures promptness and preciseness in operation.

A digital sound processor is installed between the output from the sound mixer and the loudspeakers or amplifiers, and controls equalizing, compressing/limiting, and time delay. Sound tone, sound pressure and distance of each speaker are programmed in a laptop connected by network cables.

It is possible, therefore, to set the system on the laptop, sitting in the audience chamber and listening to the actual performance sound, or simply to switch from one programmed setting to another.

Another remarkable feature of the sound control system is the input signal distributive system. Every signal is input to the main mixing console (52 channels), and simultaneously distributed by a BBS splitter to the sound control room, the house mix position, the stage and the loading dock. This system makes possible the efficient use of the same source simultaneously for different jobs at difference locations.
