LG Arts Center is equipped with an efficiently constructed lighting system. The theater lights, the concert lights, the house lights, the orchestra lights and the work lights can be concurrently controlled in the lighting control room or on the stage. For the security from any computer errors that might happen during the performance, the lighting control console operates by a full-tracking back-up system, so that the lighting control remains unaffected except for the case of power loss.

The auditorium features a superb selection of the newest lighting equipment, such as moving lights, a color changer and a special effect machine. There is the most up-to-date lighting control system (a digital signaling system, DXM-512 type) for the maximum utilization of the equipment.

Compatibility is considered as well. When a touring company brings their own equipment, the signal transfer system will facilitate the use of different consoles or dimmers with different signaling systems. Also, the light battens were set up very flexibly to allow various events to best express what the lighting designer intends.

A lighting load circuit is applied on each of all 805 dimmers used for the theater light, the concert light and the orchestra light, and the dimmer module is designed to respond to hot patching. A network is provided for the entire lighting system, facilitating lighting control in all of the major positions. When fully utilized and coupled with the use of the remote control system, the network system will help maximize work efficiency of light set-up and scene memory control.
